Laser Components

II-VI leverages its gallium arsenide technology platform for a broad portfolio of semiconductor laser products with a wide range of applications in various end markets.

DPSS Lasers: Based on II-VI’s unique and proprietary microchip laser cavity technology, II-VI’s GDL series 532 nm lasers are compact, diode-pumped, solid-state-type lasers providing stable, low-noise performance to OEM customers for diversified industrial and biomedical applications.

II-VI’s passiveQ-switched1535 nm and 1064 nm lasers are also diode-pumped, solid-state lasers delivering stable, high-peak-power, high-energy optical pulses. They are widely deployed in laser range-finding and laser-induced nonlinearity applications in the industrial and life sciences markets.

Laser Engines: The QOMO series laser is a uniform platform for low-noise lasers with different wavelengths. QOMO integrates laser heads and electronics in a single, compact package that delivers excellent and stable optical performance with low noise. It is best for fluorescence-based applications such as flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and other scientific analysis instruments.

Themulti-wavelength laser module seriescan combine up to four lasers at different wavelengths, with powers ranging from 1 mW to 5 W using fiber-combining technology to offer single-mode, multimode, or specialty fiber options. The modules are fully integrated with electronics and ARM-based firmware to enable software control and remote monitoring. Compact and customizable, these modules deliver high-quality performance and reliability for a wide range of applications, primarily in the life sciences end market.

Laser Diode Modules: With advanced optics design and packaging capability, II-VI offers a variety of laser diode modules with collimated-beam free-space output and fiber-coupled output. Wavelength options include 405 nm, 445 nm, 488 nm, 635 nm, 655 nm, 785 nm, 830 nm, and others upon request. These laser modules are widely adopted in generic aiming, pointing, biomedical, and machine-vision applications.
